I have a new client, they have a new FB page, they have never run ads before. I have opened business suit and also an ads manager for them, and I have given me access to their page, all working fine the last couple of months, till I wanted to set up an ad for them, now it is asking to to set up a verification phone number, I am trying it but an error comes up. First it said an admin must set it up I have asked the client to do it which they did, they even gave me full admin rights but an error still comes up. So now I cannot run ads! Any advice please?

This is a common issue with new Facebook Business accounts. Even with admin rights, Meta may still block ad setup if phone verification isn't properly completed.

What to Do:

1) Log in using the original account that created the Business Manager. Meta often requires verification from the owner, not added admins.

2) Go to Business Settings → Security Center and add/verify a phone number.

3) Use a different browser or Incognito Mode—Meta’s phone verification sometimes bugs out due to cache.

4) If it still fails, contact Meta support through business.facebook.com/business/help and request a manual fix.

If you’re on a deadline, you can run ads from a verified Business Manager and switch later.
