Your LSA performance can change after expanding your service area because you are now competing for customers in new locations. Those areas may have different levels of search demand, competition, customer behavior, and average lead costs.
For example, you might get more impressions and leads after expanding, but the new leads could be less qualified or harder to turn into customers. You may also see lower lead volume if the new areas have less demand than your original service area.
After expanding, compare the old and new areas based on:
- Lead volume and cost per lead
- Lead quality and booked jobs
- Competition and search demand
- Travel distance and service costs
If the new areas are producing poor results, consider narrowing your service area back to the locations that consistently generate good customers.
