Has anyone run into this? I’m trying to create a Meta Business Account for someone who’s only using a Page right now. Every time we click ‘create,’ it loops back like it’s already set up, even though the only Business Account they had was deleted weeks ago. I want to avoid deleting their Page. Is there a workaround to get the new account created?

Try These Before Deleting the Page:

  1. Check for Hidden Business Accounts

    • Go to: https://business.facebook.com/settings/info (while logged into their account).

    • See if there’s an existing Business ID listed that’s not visible in the main interface. If so, try removing yourself as admin or requesting full deletion from Meta support.

  2. Create from Business Suite Settings (Not the Standard Link)

    • Instead of business.facebook.com/create, go to their Meta Business SuiteSettingsBusiness SettingsBusiness Info → see if there’s an option to “Create New Business.”

    • Sometimes the flow appears here even when the main creation page skips it.

  3. Use a Fresh Profile to Create the Account, Then Transfer

    • Invite a trusted profile (new or rarely used) to create the new Business Account, then make your client’s profile the primary admin.

    • This bypasses Meta’s “you already have one” block.

  4. Check Page Ownership

    • In Business Settings, go to Accounts → Pages.

    • If the page is “owned” by Meta (grey label) instead of the profile, you might need to assign ownership to the new Business Account once created.

  5. Contact Meta Live Chat

    • Go to: https://www.facebook.com/business/help and click “Get Started” for Chat Support.

    • Ask them to “remove residual Business Manager IDs” from the personal profile so you can create a fresh one.
