I have hundreds of locations, and adding '[Service] near me' keywords to every single ad group is tedious and inefficient. Is there a scalable way to bid on immediate-need, proximity searches?

You don't need to bloat your account with thousands of duplicate keywords. Google's algorithm handles the proximity search for you:

  • The Recommendation: Target the generic "near me" and other proximity terms only in your Tier 3: Proximity/Radius Campaigns.

  • Why? Since your Tier 3 campaign is already geographically restricted (e.g., 5-mile radii around physical stores), any user searching "near me" within that radius will trigger your ad. This delivers high-quality, high-intent traffic without forcing you to create hundreds of redundant "HVAC near Atlanta" keyword groups.
