The easiest way to tell is to compare your Yelp and LSA leads by source and track what happens after each lead comes in. If Yelp is bringing you new customers who would not have found you through LSA, it is adding incremental demand. If your total customer count stays about the same while leads simply move from LSA to Yelp, you may be shifting existing demand.
Look at:
- Lead volume from each platform
- Qualified leads and booked jobs
- New customers versus repeat customers
- Cost per acquired customer
- Revenue generated by each source
For example, if you pause Yelp and your overall leads and new customers drop, Yelp may be reaching an additional audience. If LSA leads increase and total customers barely change, Yelp may be competing for the same customers.
