Google Maps can show multiple locations of the same business, but they do not all receive equal visibility for every search. Google generally considers the searcher’s location, the distance to each branch, the relevance of that location, the business’s prominence, and whether the location is open and eligible to appear. For example, if a restaurant has three branches, the closest branch may be more relevant for a “restaurant near me” search. Another branch could still appear if it has stronger local relevance, better prominence, or is a better match for the customer’s search.
For advertising, each location may also be evaluated through its linked Business Profile, location asset, campaign settings, budget, and eligibility. Make sure every branch has accurate information, unique location details, correct hours, and the right service coverage. Then compare calls, directions, leads, and revenue by location to see which branches are actually performing.
